About DDC

The Digital Discovery Center provides children with hands-on access to sophisticated technology that is often missing from their current school programs. Robotics, digital filmmaking, and photography, and other forms of digital media are exciting new means of communication that captivate children and challenge them to develop their creativity and problem solving skills.
 
 
Our center is located on Route 83, Avon Belden Road, in Avon Lake. This is a convenient location one mile north of Route 90 and just south of Walker Road in Avon Lake.

The Digital Discovery Center is owned by Steve and Andrea Caris, and located next door to Pembroke Kids Child Development Center. Both Steve and Andrea have extensive backgrounds in education. Andrea is Director of Pembroke Kids, a thriving local preschool, and Steve is a veteran Special Education teacher with 30 years experience. For the last fifteen years he has developed innovative technology education programs in independent schools.
