Create Your Own Comic Book at The DDC

The Digital Discovery Center and the Elyria Comic Book Initiative have teamed up for a fun new program this spring!

Would you like to create your own comic book?

Elyria Comic Book InitiativeThe Elyria Comic Book Initiative is bringing its “make a comic book” process to you.  A team of trained comic book enthusiasts will guide you through the process of creating a story line, learning to draw, and putting it all together in a comic book format.  The project theme will be:What If I Were a Superhero? Use the theme to create a story filled with superheroes that make a better world. Let your creativity shine! At the last session, all work will be collected to compile and print into comic book format and be featured on the ECBI website and at future comic book events!

Grades 5-8
Tuesdays and Thursdays – April 20 through May 20th  (10 sessions)  4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

$79.00 per student. Space is Limited. Maximum 20 participants.
Deadline to register is Friday, April 16, 2010

You’ll receive a program overview and complete necessary permission slips
for website, photos, and creative rights for completed comic book projects.
